Located in southern gateway at the foot of the Church Hill neighborhood, this four-phase project began with the renovation of a small 1850 brick building once used as a cabinet shop. The vacant lot along North 25th Street had been the site for tobacco manufacturing as well as a foundry prior to construction. MGT worked closely with the design team to mesh the building with the history of the area and overcome the steep topography Church Hill is named for.
The project was nominated and awarded by the Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods as the Best Infill Construction Project at the 2008 Golden Hammer Awards ceremony.
