Client: Clachan Properties

Size: 135,000 Sq. Ft.

Schedule Duration: 9 Months

The six-story, 135,000-square-foot building was constructed by the P. H. Hanes Company in 1920 for textile manufacturing and housed the company’s operations until 1951.  The building was previously used by the Brown-Rogers-Dixson Company for warehousing and distribution and was acquired by Clachan Properties, LLC in 2006.  The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and represents another Historic Adaptive Reuse project for MGT.

MGT Construction, working closely with Clachan Properties and architect, will rehabilitate and convert the Winston Factory Lofts into 85 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with high end condominium finishes. The project will have all the amenities of high end living with fitness areas, exterior pool, high end common area finishes and secure garage parking. Construction is well under way with delivery targeted for mid-2009.
